Heavy-haul drivers honor the fallen in Wreaths Across America holiday event
High Transit LLC delivered more than 4,000 balsam wreaths with red ribbons to Arlington National Cemetery for Wreaths Across America. The annual holiday event to remember America’s fallen veterans was held in cemeteries across the country on December 14th.
“We want to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country,” said Dino Kondos, president of High Transit. “Our drivers are used to hauling oversize loads such as tanks, cranes, and girders. They clamor to volunteer for Wreaths Across America.”

High contributes $5,000 grant for digital learning

Cocalico Middle School to start construction for new media center in May
High Companies has contributed $5,000 toward the renovation of the Cocalico Middle School library. The donation will help pay to convert sections of the existing facility to a media center to support an expanding curriculum in digital media.
The Cocalico School District plans include a recording room with a green screen to support classroom media creations, a 3D printer, projectors for large group instruction and faculty meetings, robotics, and spaces for digital collaboration.

October 15, 2015—The High companies on Thursday unveiled a bronze sculpture commemorating the Lancaster city site where its original business was founded 84 years ago.
The sculpture depicts a REO Speedwagon truck owned by High Welding, which was founded by the late Sanford High in 1931 at 27 W. Lemon St., now home to Zeller Travel.

Bronze Depicts Historic REO Welding Truck
October 15, 2015—The High companies, based in Lancaster, Pa., dedicated a new sculpture to celebrate its rich history in Lancaster City and County. Located at the companies’ original site on 27 West Lemon Street, the bronze and granite memorial depicts the firm’s first welding truck, a 1929 REO Speedwagon. High began operations as a welding company in 1931.

August 5, 2015—The S. Dale High Family Foundation recently presented scholarship awards to Logan Santiago of Lancaster, PA, and Kelly Liebl of Ephrata, PA. Both students have been awarded $20,000 scholarships, which provide $5,000 per year for four years.
